Aside from my own illustration and painting work, I have taught a diverse range of private and public individuals and groups over the years (in Danish and English). Generally speaking I teach all aspects of art and design to all ages and abilities, but the more focussed and higher-level teaching I do tends to concentrate on observation-based drawing, watercolour painting and relief printing techniques.

I make particular efforts to get drawing and painting outdoors (birds..) but I also really enjoy teaching ‘land art’ based courses, which generally involve being out in the landscape and working with whatever materials can be found – often in a completely non-representational way. For specific clients I have focussed on teamwork, creativity and play as themes, which has been challenging and fun.

One of my regular appointments is at ‘Bornholms Billedskole’, where I teach a group of children between the ages of 11 and 13 in all aspects of art and design. I have a regular teaching job with the AOF where I teach courses to adults in watercolours techniques, drawing and-life drawing. Teaching school groups visiting Bornholm (‘Lejrskole’) is something that I have done and hope to build on in the coming years (brochure soon to be published). 

Just in the last couple of years I have been employed by several schools (‘folkeskole’) in Bornholm, the AOF, Bornholms Billedskole, Højskole i Bornholm and Sjælland, Bornholms Ungdomskole, Aftenskolen for specialundervisning,  and many others, to deliver tailored art-based courses. My students have included newly arrived refugees from Eritrea and Syria, children of all ages, adults with mental illness, young people excluded from school, art school students and people of all ages abilities and interests.
