I was commissioned by Rønne Privat School on Bornholm to paint a huge exterior mural on the gable of one of the school buildings. I decided to create a giant anamorphic treble portrait of three children, in primary colours, with simple geometric forms. Two of the portraits could only be ‘seen’ from two specific points in the playground. My desire was to make something interactive, colourful and dynamic. I was commissioned by Hans Rømer School to create an artwork for the public library in Aakirkeby. The artwork was developed in collaboration with a group of children from the school. The concept centered around the transformative nature of book reading – the colourful, imaginative world of the book readers, contrasted with the monochrome world beyond.
